The old 1970 Westinghouse power transformer used for testing of production of new transformer was presenting a high moisture level.
The DFR moisture in paper evalutation showed a value of 2.8%, which is above the recommended limit of 2%. This transformer is actually not 49 years old! It was refurbished in 1997, and after 22 years, the moisture was building up.
The manufacturer therefore contact us, in order to cure the problem by installing an online dryer, TRANSEC.
The TRANSEC installed included monitoring of PPM and Temperature IN and OUT. The piping system installed was fixed with stainless steel pipes of 1/2".
The installation took place in 1 days, during a maintenance period time. Our time have nevertheless made a prior assessment of the location and the whereabouts of the installation in order to optimize the overall installation time.
